THE CLOSER (Seasons 1–10)

Alexandra Kushnir, a criminal investigator from Moscow, is transferred to a senior position in a small seaside town. Her new colleagues are far from welcoming: not only is she a woman working in a traditionally male-dominated environment, but her investigative methods are also unconventional. To complicate matters further, her immediate superior turns out to be her former lover. Despite these challenges, Alexandra enthusiastically embraces her new role. Over the course of the series, Alexandra Kushnir, played by Anna Banshchikova, investigates the most intricate crimes, struggles to resist her sweet tooth, and charms a variety of men along the way.
